#TeachDisabilityHistory

Poster for #TeachDisabiltyHistory event
Members of the DREAM Board's Self-Advocacy subcommittee joined representatives from EasterSeals of Massachusetts to discuss the importance on teaching the history of disability to children and adults.

Panelists shared their experiences of growing up without learning much about disabled people. Learning about the people with disabilities who came before and the history of disability activism led everyone to greater pride, and strengthened their self-advocacy for access and rights.
