DREAM Campus Chapters & Affiliates

Our dream is not only to provide information and resources to college students with disabilities, but also to build an active network of student leaders and disability organizations across the United States. We want to empower disabled and culturally Deaf students to work for campus and national change, encourage the development of disability culture and peer support, and advance the study of disabilities within academia. And we don’t want anyone to feel like they have do it all alone!

The mission of B.C.C. Dream Club is to spread awareness about people with disabilities, learn more about rights as students with disabilities, encourage students without disabilities to become informed allies and advocates, and create an environment where students can share their experiences without being judged.

Through DREAM at Buffalo State, students with and without all forms of disabilities come together to increase awareness, pride, culture, and community both within the walls of our campus and beyond. Students work hand and hand with the Student Accessibility Services office on campus to provide programming and events that forward our mission. We focus on all types of disabilities including emotional, mental, learning, physical, and any other barriers that present themselves as we learn more about ourselves as students. We seek to enrich the world around us with the same sense of pride that all other interest groups share.

DREAM at Furman University is a group where students with disabilities can feel supported and welcomed. In addition to having club meetings for students to gather and talk about their experiences and struggles on Furman's campus, we provide awareness on campus. We host events that both bring awareness and education to the Furman community.

​I DREAM aims to increase awareness for issues that face people with disabilities and chronic illnesses on and beyond Kenyon’s campus and to connect students with disabilities and chronic illnesses to a wider support network. The administration has contributed immensely to making Kenyon more physically accessible; we aim to build on those successes and help Kenyon become more culturally accessible, dismantling residual ableism and enabling students from all backgrounds to connect with narratives of disability and chronic illness.

The DREAM chapter at Merrimack College brings together a group of students formerly named the "ASO Student Ambassadors Group." Our group provides support for students with disabilities at Merrimack, a mentorship between upperclassmen and lowerclassmen students with disabilities, and training for faculty and staff on disability awareness and advocacy.

DREAM for Students with Disabilities at Saint Paul College

DREAM for Students with Disabilities at Saint Paul College works with Access and Disability Resources and the Saint Paul College Makerspace to provide disabled students with solutions that enable them to reach their fullest academic potential and deal with any barriers they might encounter. These solutions will include, but are not limited to, a social forum and advocacy platform and collaboration with local organizations as well as the national DREAM initiative to secure resources and encourage student participation within the college community.

Our student group welcomes all on campus who are thriving through college with documented disabilities both physical and mental while also welcoming allies for those who would like community, help accessing resources as well as addressing disability rights and needs upon our campus with meetings, open discussions, fundraisers, awareness and envelopment in our campus’s Unity Fair.

We provide leadership and student representation for the disabled community on campus. 30% of students on campus are registered with SASS and identify as being disabled.
